"Hair Extensions with TAPE - INS" – Course Instructor Maija Kaverska (LV).
Maija has been working at the MELLA.lv salon since 2016. She is a graduate of RIMAN – hairstylist-designer. Maija is a TOP specialist in standard, micro-capsule, and tape -ins extension technologies. She has an individual approach to each client, and she genuinely cares about the client’s natural hair, its recovery, and improving its quality, so that natural hair can be grown and restored through hair extensions. Maija is very kind, knowledgeable, and professional.

The MELLA.lv Hair Extension Center has been successfully operating in the hair extension industry since 2009 and is a leader in the Baltic region, both in terms of the wide store selection and the broad hair extension salon segment. We have decided to share our knowledge, accumulated over many years of working with clients in hair extensions, removals, and prevention, by offering high-quality and comprehensive courses in hair extensions. On average, we serve 30 clients per day (around 7,200 clients per year), providing vast experience. The instructors for the courses are selected from the team – the most experienced and professional TOP specialists in the respective technology.

Course Description for Group Training:

Hair extension industry. Factory work, industry "secrets," hair processing.
Hair types, thicknesses, cuticle directions.
The relationship between product quality and price.
How to distinguish natural hair from synthetic hair.
Determining service costs and pricing. (Points 1-5: Video lecture by Gunna Martinesa-Serrano, owner of MELLA.lv).
Variety of products in the store. Hair selection, variety of tools used for this extension method.
Advantages and disadvantages of the method.
How much hair is needed for one client.
Hair care at home (client consultation).
What can cause hair to slip out?
Hair coloring before extensions and during the use of extensions – between preventive treatments.
How to create Ombre, balayage color techniques.
How to create streak effects, mixing hair tones.
Tool disinfection.
Workplace cleanliness.
Client evaluation.
Tape size used, size adjustments, tape assessment. Changing the tape if necessary.
Ergonomics of the master’s workspace, layout.

Choose the course type that suits you best:

Group training (2-4 people), 6-7 hours, practice on a mannequin head – 499 EUR;
Individual training – available only after completing the in-person course (by arrangement with the instructor), practice with your own model – 80 EUR/hour. (On average, new hair extensions take 2.5-3 hours, prevention 4-6 hours).

To register for group or individual training, a 50 EUR advance payment (security deposit, which is non-refundable in case of no-show or will be used as partial payment for the course) is required. An invoice will be issued and sent to the email address you provide.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate in English, as well as a VIP master card, which will allow you to shop at the MELLA.lv store at Čaka Street 33, Riga, and at the www.mella.lv online store with a 10% discount.
