About ACCA KAPPA

A village close to Venice in Italy was the place where Acca Kappa was established in 1869 by Hermann Krull, sr, a young Germand merchant from Prussia. He chose Treviso as his company's base. The land in and around Treviso was mainly used for agricultural purposes then, but has developed into a province with mainly industrial and business activities. The original focus of the company was the manufacturing of premium brushes and accessories from fine materials from the Orient. The quality of their brushes was well-known and Acca Kappa was made the official brush supplier to the British Royal Family. By the end of 2011 Acca Kappa has been Italy’s favourite and most successful manufacturer of brushes.

Since the very beginning the company has stayed in the family's ownership for most of the time. When the company was disseized from the German merchant during the First World War, Krull, who had six sons by that time, bought it back from the Italian government. When Krull passed away in 1936, the family bought the company back one more time.

During the second half of the last century, the company not only stabilized their business-to-customer relationships, but ventured into new business sectors. Acca Kappa now sell different products like soaps, hand cream, shaving foams and accessories, hair and skin care products and perfumes. Natural materials like honey, yeast, wheat germ and other plant extracts are used wherever possible. The use of natural ingredients and the manufacture and use of machines especially designed for Acca Kappa helped the company produce premium good of the highest quality. This is return has resulted in Acca Kappa being recognized as an upmarket brand that is trusted by all their customers.
